Some Cartels in EMBU have decided to reap where they did not sow. They have been making rounds with FAKE NOTES and making large amount purchase to unsuspecting people. Most targeted are the alcohol business people, drunk citizens and M-PESA attendants. 

Just a week ago when some 2 guys were caught with FAKE KSH.48,000 in KANGARU, EMBU after tricking a woman and making an M-Pesa deposit. The cartel is so wide and rooted as they have been making FAKE alcohol and packaging it into branded bottles hence scamming the citizens.

Some of the Most Hit parts are RUNYENJES, EMBU where KSH.300,000 Fake notes and 600 liters of packaged ILLICIT BREW were retrieved by Runyenjes Police Officers. The cartels are said to have distributed more than 1 million shillings inform of notes in Embu Town and Outskirt towns, some parts of Kirinyaga County as well as Tharaka-nithi parts bordering Embu.
