More than 100 local and international investors have expressed interest in partnering with the government and local universities in developing accommodation facilities under a Public Private Partnership model (PPP). The project being spearheaded by the National Treasury targets to expand bed capacity in public universities by about 30,000. River Nyamindi in Kirinyaga is notoriously known for drowning swimmers especially those with less skill. The bloodthirsty river has just drowned another 2 students from the University of Embu. The students, recognized as Francis and Laren had gone for a nature walk when the regrettable incidence happened.
