Killer River Nyamindi Drown Two University of Embu Comrades-(see images)
River Nyamindi in Kirinyaga is notoriously known for drowning swimmers especially those with less skill. The bloodthirsty river has just drowned another 2 students from the University of Embu. The students, recognized as Francis and Laren had gone for a nature walk when the regrettable incidence happened.

The reports have been confirmed by the University’s Student leader Duncan Othuon. The police and other rescuers visited the scene but the 'divers' were late to arrive making the rescue mission difficult. Unconfirmed preliminary reports suggest that the two might have started to swim but the water currents overpowered them.

Mwea- East OCPD Kizito Mutoro, confirmed the incident that occurred when seven students came to tour the Daraja ya Mungu area. “The five male and two female students had come to tour the area, Daraja ya Mungu, where there is a gorge and the Chinese are working on a project to generate hydro-electric power," the OCPD said.

One of the Student leaders from the University who was at the scene said that operation to retrieve the two will start tomorrow, 28th January since the place had already become dark and dangerous. He also suggested that the two might have succumbed underwater. (Confirmed Dead)
