US$200 million Sought to Build and Maintain University Of Embu, Moi and Seku hostels on PPP

More than 100 local and international investors have expressed interest in partnering with the government and local universities in developing accommodation facilities under a Public Private Partnership model (PPP). The project being spearheaded by the National Treasury targets to expand bed capacity in public universities by about 30,000. River Nyamindi in Kirinyaga is notoriously known for drowning swimmers especially those with less skill. The bloodthirsty river has just drowned another 2 students from the University of Embu. The students, recognized as Francis and Laren had gone for a nature walk when the regrettable incidence happened. Kenya Introduces Washing The Bodies in Morturies' Punishment

NTSA Logo The Government of Kenya through the National transport and NTSA Security Agency, NTSA, is contemplating to introduce a ‘crazy’ law to curb the menace of drunk driving. In a new measure to discourage drinking while driving, washing corpses in the Mortuaries will be the punishment if accepted as a law. Thinking about visiting a mortuary full of dead people is terrifying hence washing these dead bodies will definitely cause discourage drivers from drinking. The increase in the number of accidents in the roads have contributed to measures being embraced including jailing, use of Alco blow and fining which all have failed to effectively eliminate this vice of driving while drunk. However, some lawyers, including Mr.Njiru from Kirinyaga have vowed to challenge the law terming it as inhuman.
