Places in Moses Kuria's Backyard Where Mututho Laws are Banned

In Gatundu South Constituency which is home to MP. Hon. Moses Kuria, the fight against alcoholism has been dented greatly. Locals in Wangui Village, Gachika Market, and Gathiru are notoriously known for their continued drinking and selling of branded alcohol any time of the day without adhering to Mututho’s rules.

Interior CS Fred Matiangi has vowed to start the fight against illicit brew in Kiambu from Tomorrow 21st March. The fight will commence at Makwa which is referred to as the HQs of this obnoxious and deadly alcohol. Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu had signed a bill which will help county government control licensing of clubs.

Conspicuously, when the fight against the illicit brew had intensified in all other parts in central, Wangui and Gachika acted as ‘quencher’ hubs for the thirsty neighboring. Residents from Karigui-ini and Mugumoini which are in Lari constituency were crossing the ridge separated by depleting River. Komothai to ‘remove the lock’ in the said urban centers where the Arm of government seemed not functioning.

Despite the decries by women who had lost sons and husbands to the drinking menace, local administrations lead by chiefs and sub-chiefs stood and stumbling blocks as they were either running (still some do) some pubs businesses or are alcoholics and have to ‘remove the lock’ before anything else in the morning.

Therefore, Dr. Fred Matiangi should ensure that Wangui, Gachika, Gitwe, among others towns in Gatundu South are part of his timetable.
Additional details will be provided.
