What University Plans for the Students

Cultural Festivals Promoted by the University

The University of Embu is one of the fastest developing Universities in Kenya. To cater for the growing number of students, the university is planning to Introduce Public Health as a new Masters Course in the near future. As revealed by an inside source (whom we will keep anonymous as we have no approval to quote the name), the University intends to introduce the masters in Public health to attract more Post Graduate students.
Additionally, the students pursuing BSc. Microbiology and Biotechnology will have an option to pursue Masters in public health in addition to other masters’ courses offered in the new and blossoming University.
Currently, the Biology Students have limited options for their masters including MSC. Plant Ecology (Terrestrial Options), MSC. Plant Ecology (Aquatic option), and MSC. Applied Microbiology. Therefore, this is a welcome development for the University as well as residents of Kenya and abroad who would like to study to advance their education in the University.

It should be remembered that the University is undergoing major transformations having signed Multimillion MOUs to develop 6,000 capacity Hostels as well as Education block which has already commenced. Other major developments include acquiring Charter and Chancellor in 2016 as well as confirmation of Ag.Vc Professor Daniel Mugendi as the fully appointed Vice-Chancellor from 2018.
